Coaching vs. Counseling
Coaching is not therapy. Coaching services provided by ASCENT are designed to help clients gain clarity, set goals, and take action toward desired outcomes. Coaching is forward-focused and does not diagnose, treat, or provide therapy for mental health conditions.
Counseling is not emergency care. While our counseling services are provided by licensed professionals, they are not a substitute for emergency psychiatric care. If you are experiencing a mental health crisis, please contact emergency services or the 988 Suicide & Crisis Lifeline immediately.

While we are committed to providing high-quality coaching and counseling services, we cannot guarantee specific outcomes or results. Personal growth and change require effort, commitment, and time. Results vary based on individual circumstances, engagement, and willingness to do the work.
Confidentiality Limitations
While we maintain strict confidentiality, there are legal and ethical limits. We may be required to break confidentiality in cases involving:
- Imminent risk of harm to self or others
- Suspected abuse or neglect of a child, elderly person, or dependent adult
- Court orders or legal requirements

Professional Credentials
